Woke this morning to see the sunrise(aka 4:30am)
Got some really nice pics of the 'migrating' storks & sunrise, unfortunately the computer is having hissy fits (yet again) so it's getting the sledgehammer treatment tomorrow. After the I *should* be able to edit some of the storks pics I've taken recently *enshallah!*

My external hard drive decided to die on me at the weekend so I'm not a very happy bunny. My friend thinks he can fix it when he gets back to Egypt but he's not sure exactly when that will be (apart from before I head to the UK). This means that I don't have very many photo's to edit. Instead I've decided to set up a Flickr account & also another journal to post the photo's to. This means that I won't be posting photo's to this account very often so if you want to still receive them they will be here.

Barely 3 weeks into 2008 & I've finished editing last years photo's which is a vast improvement on last year!

The highlight of the year has to be diving with the hammerheads on several occasions although finally getting to swim with dolphins (albeit briefly) is a close second.

The following photo's were all taken between October & December in various sites around Sharm El Sheikh & Dahab.

For those of you that have seen the pictures I posted a few months ago of Dave the Turtle, I have some bad news. Unfortunately he died on the 8th August 2007 story here The reason for death is still undetermined although recent from speaking to fellow staff in the area, he's n.een looking to well for a while, certainly when I saw him in June he was looking very lethargic. An autopsy is currently being carried out to find the cause of death, whether it is due to infection or his sudden 'celebrity status', we may never know. He was a pleasure to see in the water when I did, especially with no other divers around to disturb his feeding. I will certainly treasure the photo's I have due to his remarkable tale of recovery.
